WARNING: TO REDUCE THE RISK OF FIRE. ELECTRIC

A. Use this unit only in the manner intended by the manufacturer.
If you have questions, contact the manufacturer.
B. Before servicing or cleaning unit, switch power off at service
panel and lock service panel to prevent power from being
switched on accidentally.

When the service disconnecting means cannot be locked, securely
fasten a prominent warning device, such as a tag, to the service panel.

A. A single toggle switch can control both the fan and
light (see diagram A).

B. Fan and light can be controlled individually with
separate toggle switches (see diagram B).

A. Installation work and electrical wiring must be done by qualified
person(s) in accordance with all applicable codes and
standards, including fire-rated construction.
Select the manner of the wiring which best suits your
needs and complete the wiring as illustrated.

B. Sufficient air is needed for proper combustion and exhausting of
gases through the flue (chimney) of fuel burning equipment to
prevent back drafting. Follow the heating equipment
manufacturer's guideline and safety standards such as those
published by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA),
and the American Society for Heating, Refrigeration and Air
Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), and the local code
authorities.
C. When cutting or drilling into wall or ceiling, do not damage
electrical wiring and other hidden utilities.
D. Ducted fans must always be vented to the outdoors.
E. If this unit is to be installed over a tub or shower, it must be
marked as appropriate for the application.

use this fan with any solid state speed control device.
• Installation must be inaccordance with local and national
electrical codes.
3. Refer to Figure 1. Pull wire through knockout into
housing. Make connection and replace receptacle
cover. Ground unit to screw inside of switch box.
4. Refer to Figure 2. Add 3" duct to vent outside. Use roof
ventilator or wall cap depending on style of installation
being used.

For installation in sloped ceilings up to 7/12 pitch.
Ductwork must point up.
5. Replace motor-blade assembly making sure plug is
toward receptacle and tighten in place. Plug cord into
receptacle.
6. Plug light socket cord into receptacle. Replace
grille- reflector-socket assembly and tighten in place
with nut.
WIRING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Remove both grille-reflector-socket assembly and motor-blade
assembly from housing and set aside. This step is not required
in bulk packed unit.
7. Install light bulb (not included) in socket. 100 watt
maximum. Insert lens. If lens appears to be slightly
larger than opening in grille, rotate lens 90° and try
inserting lens again.
2. Hold housing to joist and nail in place through the slotted holes
in the mounting ears. Adjust housing edge so that it will be
flush with finished plaster line. Then drive nails through round
holes in hanger to secure.
